You will be working in the design & engineering department undertaking coordination of hull basic design activities,
You will be required to apply extensive hull design principles, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and have strong communication skills to coordinate with other departments.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the project internally, and externally with stake holders such as client, class and suppliers;
- Plan, check and review full engineering process on his authority;
- Applying typical or specific knowledge and engineering principles and practices within his/her discipline;
- Employing own basic technical capabilities to solve project technical issues and tasks;
- Elaborate P&ID schemes and diagrams based on project’s requirement;
- Checking / reviewing work before submitting any deliverable for internal and external purposes.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering
- At least 10 years of uninterrupted design activity, with significant experience in basic design or marine engineering design environment
- Extensive knowledge of core design software tools and capabilities – Hull
- Proof of team coordination experience for minimum 4+ years
- Expert in interpretation of class rules and other industry codes (ISO, NS, EUROCODE, etc);
- Fully conversant and capable with Microsoft Word and Excel (advanced user);
- Fully conversant with document management systems (ISO 9001 or similar)
- Good use of English language, especially industry specific terms
- Master Degree in a related field of activity is an advantage;
