International Commissioning Engineer High Voltage – for onboard Ships

What is our environment?

In marine industry, voltages below 1000 Vac (1kV) are considered low voltages, while above that are considered high voltages. Usually, onboard vessels, the typical high voltage system is of 3.3 kV; 6.6 kV and 11 kV.
Our projects are modern container vessel with high reefer load (maxim 6MW), the power distribution system onboard vessel consists of a main 6.6kV switchboard (6,600 volts).
What is job location?
Our projects are always located at different locations worldwide.
You will work independently or in a team and commission new electrical and retrofits, and provide service on our customers’ ships.
What are you going to do?
You will be responsible for carrying out technical installation and commissioning on electrical (high voltage) installations. This includes connecting, measuring and control installations for transformers and switchgear for our maritime fleet customer.
That means specifically:
* Commissioning installations and systems (including high and low voltage);
* Carrying out integrated tests;
* Support with test setups;
* Developing an action plan based on technical information such as drawings and diagrams;
* Support fellow service engineers (remote) with troubleshooting;
* Independently search for faults, analyze problems and resolve them on board;

* Advising project management on implementation and coordinating with, among others, engineering and electrical installation team.
What do we ask of you?
You prepare for your assignments from home or from our office.
You also have:
* Certificate for design with electrical/energy systems at a voltage exceeding 1000 V (below 20kV) Romania authorization degree IIIA.
* At least 4 years of experience in medium voltage project execution in a similar industrial setting;
* Experience in any relevant technical topics Medium voltage switchgear and equipment, protection and control schematics, protection relays, AC/DC auxiliary distribution, PT/CT sizing, Cable sizing, fuses selection, documentation preparation for installation, test procedures and site commissioning.
